Data sources.
Volt Delta is built on publicly accessible, auditable EU and UK data infrastructure — plus our own observed-condition network.
Observed Condition Network
Diagnostic submissions from our independent-dealer network across the UK, Germany and France, with the observed-condition slider acting as the calibration target. Each submission is anonymised, validated against the listing record, and used to keep the prior distribution honest.
Brokerage & Auction Data
Used EV listings from major UK, German and French brokerage platforms, plus auction results from wholesale remarketing channels. We track approximately 110,000 used battery-electric listings continuously, capturing asking price, repricing events, time-on-market and exit state.
Battery Research
Open battery-research datasets from EU Joint Research Centre publications and peer-reviewed work on capacity-fade modelling for lithium-ion chemistries used in mass-market EVs. We also track third-party battery-warranty product pricing as a market signal for forward residual risk.
Registration & Macro
Official UK, German and French registration data, used to size the cohort exposed to the 2028 warranty cliff. Industry aggregates and official macro deflators calibrate the regional price layer.
Volt Delta does not use OEM telematics, captive-lender internal systems, or personally identifiable transaction records. All inputs are either publicly accessible or contributed under the Observed Condition Network's anonymisation protocol.
